Hi:
Just bought a Samsung P2 - Its an 8 GB media player that supports Ogg.
Has a really nice touch screen interface. I really like it but ...

I'm having trouble getting it to talk to a linux machine and my music
collection is kept on a couple of linux machines. It uses the MTP
(media transfer protocol) rather than UMS (USB mass storage). It is
supposed to be possible to hack it with firmware updates to support UMS
- but there appears to be a significant possibility of turning it into a
brick ....

I've installed the current libmtp and mtpfs, but I can't get Amarok or
Rythmbox to talk to it.

I'm able to detect it using mtp-detect. I think I've changed the udev
permissions to allow a regular user to mount it.

Any suggestions? Using opensuse 10.3 btw
