I have noticed that both Linux and Windows tend to cache SSIDs, so if
you change the name of a WAP, both the old name and the new name will
show up for a while. It also seems to cache the security settings.
This has caused me problems in the past when I'm changing the encryption
settings (open/WEP/WPA/WPA2) and the client computer still asks for the
old-style key or none at all. (and then fails, of course) I'm not sure
what the criteria is for the old name to get removed.

I'm using it in downtown Regina, as the signal is stronger than the
hotel's I'm staying in. (slightly) I can't speak for Saskatoon. Look
for "Sask!Connected" in your available networks.
