Re: Enough wireless?

I have a question about routers. Do they ever propagate themselves? I know this sounds really stupid, but I have an e^3pc and was having trouble connecting it to my own wireless router. It wasn't handing out any dhcp leases.

Before I unplugged my router there were five routers listed: barkot, default, linksys, default (yes another default), and George. When I unplugged my router I had only 1 default and George.

So where did the ghosts come from, the linksys and the other default? Both of these had very low signals. At one time I did not use a wep code and my router was just linksys.

Okay, I was just curious.

By the way Sasktel was suppose to be putting out some waves. Are there any known hotspots downtown?
