Mandriva 2008.1 (just released) supports the eeePC hardware natively. I've
been running it on my eeePC for the past month now. Very nice. Everything
is detected and runs "out of the box".
Mandriva has also gone to great lengths to make their menus and apps friendly
towards the small 7" screen.
