Sorry!
I've not been checking emails much lately. Busy!

No, I'm afraid I'm quite self-taught. But that's why
I've hesitated to advertise this too heavily. Rather I
wanted to weave it into my courses naturally, and
because I aim for those rather unsure about their
computers in the first place, I could show them how
easy it is to install Linux, even as a dual boot, and
take advantage of the security and simplicity.

I've just been working on some web pages on my
business site to explain the courses in more detail.
They are not all finished but a few are up;

Right now I'm advertising the week-long basic skills
courses at $75/week (afternoons only) with a regular
price of $99.

I've just finished with one home business owner
student over the last 2 weeks as he had to be away
part of the first week. He's quite a happy camper,
because he had my undivided attention, and I was able
to help him solve a number of personal computer
problems he had, show him a money making opp, and also
managed to get him a website up in just one afternoon.
A one-pager, but that's all he was expecting for now.
He wanted a URL to put on his business card.

When I showed him that other web designers in S'toon
are charging $85/hr or $150 for a single page site -
at the low end - he was extra tickled.

If I could get 4 more students each week in April I'd
be a happy camper too, as I could upgrade some of my
slower computers before I start the 4-month internship
style course in May.

Me - I have yet to meet another linxer face to face.
:)

Blessings & Thanks,
Ruth
