Subject: Offering training on Linux boxes - softer market now?
Hi.
Name is Ruth. I've been lurking here a couple of weeks to see what kind of
linux users there are in Saskatoon. I see now that you are noticing too,
that people are more open to Linux.
Long story short, I'm starting a small business where I am prepared to train
people in computers and how to run a web business from. The key difference
is that I've got my 4 computer stations loaded with linux OS.
I'm planning to introduce all my students/interns to life on a linux box. :)
At this stage I'm recruiting students and I'm wondering how big the linux
community is in this city? Do you run into people who would be interested if
they could get some over-the-shoulder help for a week or so?
Blessings & Thanks,
Ruth
So what are your fees? Do you just teach loosely or is there a
program/curriculum you can follow?
I would be very interested in a structured learning enviroment and it would
be worth putting some money into if I could afford it. There's a serious
dearth of linux instruction in town. We could stand to see a class offered.
