Don't forget to check if the apps you require are ported to x64! Most of
the big ones (apache, mysql, php) are but if you have legacy requirements
then you'd best check or else get used to editing makefiles

Could someone please post an explanation as to when and why I would choose
the i386 version as opposed to the x86_64 version. What types of hardware
are each intended for (if indeed hardware generation is the deciding factor)
