If you have a 64-bit cpu you might consider the x86_64 version,
especially if you have large amounts (ie. greater than 4GB) of RAM.
Once you get up to 16-32GB of RAM then it is highly recommended to use
the 64-bit version.
For most home users the 32-bit version is fine.
