Just thought I'd start a thread; between Full Circle (formerly
FreeCycle) and a friend's mom cleaning house, I have excess hardware
that I am offering for the low Low LOW price of $0 ;)
* Old "ASI 9000" computer tower... untested; probably fast Pentium 1.
Probably even works still O:)
* HP LaserJet Series II printer... untested, but supposedly OK.
Egads, what a beast! Big and feels like its hewn from a solid block of metal.
As per http://openprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=HP-LaserJet_series_II
"BW laser printer, max. 300x300 dpi, works Perfectly"
Appears to be LPT and Serial port connections on the back.
* KDS CRT monitor ~16" viewable. A bit dim if you're not in a basement ;)
* TTX CRT monitor ~14" viewable. Doesn't work in Ubuntu by default,
but fiddling with xorg.conf got it working nicely.
Hint: see http://db.ttx.ca/TTXCanada/Support/html/drivers___manuals.html
and note that Ubuntu Gutsy doesn't care for the INF file in the zip...
* Packard Bell CRT monitor ~13" viewable. Untested.
Can easily deliver to the SLG meeting on Wednesday ;-)
