appliance hacking

Hi gang,

I have an appliance machine that boots a mandrake 10 install am ater all
the rc3.d scripts are run the vga output goes black (by design
presumably to prevent console access and restrict the owner to http).
I thought I could just modify the grub line with vga=normal and get it
going anyone have any ideas on this?
