Beyond MythTV

        Hey. I have a MythTV box, and it's fairly successful, but I want to
integrate more functionality into it. There are a number of Linux games
in synaptic's repository list which I wouldn't mind having access to easily.
        MythTV itself is a bit clunky for launching other tools (it has a set
of assumptions that seem to class with the people who wrote the NES and
SNES emulators I've tried), so I was thinking it'd be nice to have a
media-launcher like the one found on a PSP or PS3. You could choose a
category, and then get a list of things. EG: Arcade games would give a
list of the games that are arcade. You could also hit the "Watch
recorded TV" link which would load MythFE and get into the archived
shows list.
        Has anyone seen a software launcher like this already?
