So, last evening Shaw in their infinite wisdom decided to start blocking
outbout SMTP (port 25) connections for everyone (including business
customers). That basically leaves my SOHO connection with static IPs
as an expensive equivalent to regular Internet consumer service.
Combine that with the price increase that recently took effect and I'm
shopping for a new ISP.
Does anyone out there have any recent experience with SaskTel? Can a
customer with Static IP's make outbound SMTP connections (ie send mail)
without relaying through SaskTel's servers?
