Joining text sections

I write all my books in sections consisting of a complete chapter each,
to save the trouble of loading and saving the whole thing when I want to
make one single change.

If I have them saved as .rtf, each with a chapter number, is there some
simple way I can join the whole lot together, from beginning to end?
