Sorry for the top post, but just to add to the thread..

I have 1442099 items in my home directory using 37GB. My computer was
idle for the past 3 days and it had only indexed 51%, and this morning
my computer was to slow to use until I shut Google Desktop off.

The machine is an AMD X2 3800+ with 2GB of ram.

The majority of those files are source code, I'm not sure if that
matters tho.
