packet sniffing on sasktel.net

Hi:

One of my co-workers asked me if I could give him an idea of how easy it was
for someone to monitor his email on sasktel.net.

I don't use sasktel so I don't know how the network is set up.

Can someone with a good packet sniffer (ethereal dnsiff ) monitor another
person email on sasktel?

I've suggested he use a public key encryption package if he want to insure
privacy.
