If you're looking to buy a Linux piece of hardware, it might be worth
your time to take that money an invest in a bit more RAM for the laptop
(you can get 2gb of SODIMM DDR2 for $60 right now via NCIX), and then
put $40 in to a copy of Parallels (or download the free version VMware
Fusion) and run Linux inside OS X. I do this to get Ubuntu on my laptop
in a portable form (VMware fusion can have its files played back on my
workstation as well as laptop).
