Re: Who is my router talking to?

Do routers set up in such a fashion still pose a risk, if DHCP is
disabled? I used to run my old linksys wrt54gs with sasktel DSL like
that, but with dhcp disabled - which meant all clients got an external
IP.

I'm wondering if I was providing someone with an absolutely free and
unfettered real world IP for about a year. I had wpa for the wifi,
but nothing more than xp sp2 firewalls on the machines - with internal
filesharing set up without any security.
