ubuntu cli mail reader

Looking at a linode running ubuntu and trying to read mail messages for a
command line interface on the server.

If I was running FreeBSD I would type in mail.

I have my iloha webmail client working so I can read emails I would just
like to be able to cruse through them while at a command line from a ssh
login.

Any suggestions?
