Edgy slow booting.

Edgy has been awfully slow coming up the last few days.

I went up on the Ubuntu list, and the best I could find in their
archives was a reference to another thread, part of which warned at not
doing any of this if you aren't sure what you're doing. That meant me,
of course.

Anybody got any suggestions?
