Dell to offer consumer Linux desktops and laptops 'soon'

The only major question is what distro(s) will be offered. It sounds
like they intend to cut costs by only supporting the hardware and
leaving the software support for 'community forums' and such.

A question to the group: would you consider buing a Dell with Linux
preloaded? (e.g. for yourself or for say your parents) How is Dell
hardware quality these days?
