I would only expect new packages for major bugs and security fixes.
Nothing else. And the fixes should mostly be backported to the
current version, versus upgrading the package. In the KDE example, if
it was crashing regularly, I would expect a 3.5.5-2, which contains
the fix. Not a upgrade to 3.5.6.
Stable means stable!
