Edgy upgrade breaks bits.

        I went Dapper -> Edgy today because I finally wanted to upgrade to the
latest and greatest KDE (which wasn't put out for Dapper, so much for
LTS). The upgrade has done this:
* Mouse wheel no longer works in Firefox, Kate, Konqueror (although I
can swap desktops, oddly enough, using it).
  - Following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MX1000Mouse did nothing :(

* No sound. My audigy is still listed by the kernel, but nothing will
put out sound.

Otherwise, well, it starts a wee bit sooner. The TTF fonts look a bit
better. Otherwise no real difference I can see right now.
