I did some googling ("let your electrons do the walking"). Most HDTV
signals are sent encrypted for some reason (??). Premium channels are
likely to be encrypted, while other regular channels are unlikely to be
encrypted. I only have a single tuner myth as is, so if I took the IR
blaster and set it up right, I could control an HDTV box if I had one
(and needed one).
Unfortunately, Shaw's website is about as informative as a discarded
letter envelope. Searching their site for 20 minutes yielded a
statement on how much things would cost: "HDTV pricing and availability
depends on your region and your plan"....
