Hi all,
I have a IBM x3650 running SUSE 10.1 that had an issue after updating
some SUSe stuff, (I wasn't involved so I am not sure exactly what
happend ) The broadcom nic drivers stopped working. I then retrieved the
latest tar balls and built bnx2.ko which I subbed into
/lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/net/bnx2.ko
after insmod /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/net/bnx2.ko
everything is fine but upon reboot I have no network. I remember 2.4.*
had something like update-modules to rebuild modules.conf any ideas on
monprobe.conf/modprob.conf.local?
I think I need to add
alias eth0 bnx2
to the file
/etc/modprobe.conf.local
but I am not sure?
