FWIW, I finally got my laptop back, in good shape, and they didn't even
wipe my hard drive. (I was 3/4 expecting to have to re-install, but all
is good.) I have to say that Scott Z. in service at Compusmart was
always very pleasant with me. He seemed genuinely surprised and a bit
perplexed when I mentioned that Lenovo had called me with their survey.
He said that usually doesn't happen until after the service is logged in
as complete, so perhaps Microage (where Compusmart sent my laptop to, in
case you haven't followed this thread) really did sit on my computer for
two weeks.
Anyways, next time I'll probably take Dave's advice and go to the campus
store.
