I just purchased an EZ-Swap 2 SATA and IDE units for my Ubuntu box. The IDE
unit works like a charm (not hot swappable, but this is a personal computer,
so who cares).
However the SATA drive is being a pain. I have a 400GB module that will
mount just fine (it is formatted as FAT32 with the intention of eventually
sometime putting it in my Windows box). When I use the Disks administration
module to mount it, it shows up fine at the mount point in my home
directory, but the owner and group have been reset to root and it is read
only. When I sudo chown with my username - the operation isn't permitted.
I've also messed around with various incarnations of the ftab file, but
still no ownership or write access.
I can't find any obvious answers with a google - any suggestions?
