mix and match memory

It's been a while since I've messed with my computer innards, so maybe
someone can help me out.

My system has an ASROCK K7S8XE+ board and I currently have 768 megs RAM.
It originally had 256 MB DDR 333 PC2700. I subsequently added 512
(haven't taken it apart and I don't remember what). I know have an
additional 256 MB DDR 400 PC3200 available to me. My manual says the
following:

*Memory* 3 x DDR DIMMs, *DDR400*/333/266
DDR 266 Max. 3GB
DDR 333 Max. 2GB
DDR 400 Max. 1GB

To me it looks as though I have three slots and I could use DDR 266, 333
or 400.

Now finally here is my question: Can I mix and match memory speed? What
is the difference between PC2700 and PC3200?

Thanks.
