I figured I had better post an update for this issue. It turns out a
lurker on our humble list was originally involved in some of the coding
for webcall, and saw my original post. He realized something was
broken, and quickly got the gears moving to fix the problem. In any
case, the passwords have been removed from the config files on the TFTP
site. (They were supposed to be stripped, but the script doing it had
broken a while back.) In addition, they are switching to a different
ATA that will have a more secure setup than the Nortel one I got. (Not
that I care, now that it's working fine in Asterisk.)
I guess that means my cookbook needs a small change... you will need to
phone Webcall to get your SIP password unless you can somehow grab it
during setup.
Andrew, do you want to add anything? ;-) (without the recent
re-subscription, I might not have put 2 and 2 together.)
