Just completed the Dapper > Edgy update. On a 500 MHz P-III with SKTel
HS connection it took about 8 hours, using the web-update option. I
don't use MythTV so can't comment, but so far everything in my /home
appears to be as-was and all installed apps functional. The Ubuntu boot
'progress bar' screen no longer includes a scrolling list of what's
actually being loaded and the boot process is no faster (at least the
first time after update) than for Dapper. 8-(
