MythTV frustration.

I've managed to get MythTV working under Dapper (which I'm going to be
redoing once I get some new hardware, and documenting thoroughly for the
purposes of the SLG site). Unforutanetly, it's not exactly working
100%. In the front end, I can try and schedule recordings all I want.
However, once I go back to the EPG, it shows the programs as NOT being
recorded.
MythWeb shows this problem as well. If I list the scheduled
recordings, I'll see each attempt I've made to record in a big list (so
if I tried 5 times, I see 5 duplicates of sessions...). However, in the
upcoming recordings tab there isn't anything. The only way I've been
able to make it record anything has been to tune to the show while it's
on, and tap R.

I've also not had any luck with the Hauppage 150 card's IR port. I
plugged in the dongle and tried the two different ways to get IR going
(cat /dev/lirc* and the mode2 program, after the kernel module
inserted), but I haven't gotten a single wiff of data from it. Has
anyone setup their IrDA port on this card with Linux?
