/etc/sda1 -- kubuntu linux

Ok... I am starting to get frustrated...

I am trying to mount a usb hard drive.... I tried adding /dev/sda1 /backup
ntfs user,umask-0,noauto 0 0

to my fstab... which works.. and when I do a fdisk-l It tells me that I
have something mounted under /backup
and it tells me that it is rw. but I cant write to the damn thing.
aggg...

any thought suggestions.
