The cost calculation is more involved than saying the electricity to run
a computer for the length of time you wish to view the notes is less
than the paper and ink to print it out. You also have to remember that
the incremental cost of reading the notes on paper additional times is
zero. (provided you read it outdoors in the daytime or in a sunlit room.)

I have to say, I'm still a fan of dead-tree materials when it comes to
studying or reading for enjoyment. Even if they cost slightly more than
the electronic version.
