This sounds more along the lines of what I'm looking for. However, I
believe that Ubuntu will place my hard drive as /dev/sda whether I plug
it into a SATA1 port or a SATA2 port, so I don't see why temporarily
plugging it into a SATA1 port so that the live CD will see it won't
work. Anyways, I'm currently downloading Knoppix, I'll try that out
tonight when I get home from work.
