Does anybody on this list know how to fix XSane (running under Ubuntu
6.06 with all updates) when it loses communication with the scanner?
That is, I was happily using my HP 6300C scanner (with USB, not SCSI,
connection) when I cancelled a scan operation; bad idea, as the next
attempt to scan failed with an i/o error message. Nothing I've tried so
far has made any change at all to this condition.
