CDMA 2G is that old, and (AFAIK) still used on the majority of towers
Sasktel has. Maybe they upgraded the city to CDMA 3G and 1X, but all
that extra coverage everyone is rabid for on Sasktel is analog service
that you mention they're moving to kill.
Sasktel -- great in La Ronge, since no one else has coverage.
Telus -- Great in Saskatoon, Calgary, Vancouver, etc -- but not outside
of Regina and Saskatoon in SK.
Rogers -- Great for my in Boston, New York, Maui, Saskatoon, Vancouver,
Calgary. No service in La Ronge, etc, but most of the way up from PA I
had a few bars :)
Every time I go on a trip to the US and use the phone, it's about 5-10$
extra on my bill for that month (I think the worst was when I had to
coordinate some trip stuff while on the trip, lots of phoning; added 20$
to my bill that month).
