Tape backup under Linux

What software are people using for tape backups under Linux nowadays?

I want to be able to do full/incremental backups automatically (cron) as
well as have a simple-to-use graphical tool for browsing the backups and
restoring files.

I've taken a brief look at amanda and either I'm not understanding how
it works (likely) or it doesn't seem to do what I want.

Way in the past I've used BRU with plenty of success, but would rather
do this with FOSS this time around.
