Well, that's nice. I was a bit confused as to why my Flash (which
worked fine for YouTube and GoogleVideo) would sometimes say, "You need
flash to view this site."

I don't, as a rule, look at flash sites, but sometimes I do get curious.
  Mostly I'm proven right for never loading flash outside of
YouTube/GoogleVideo/Strong Bad Emails (notably, the 16mb flash file
which is the Initial D movie "website" sheesh).
