And that would have been ... the 'Live/Install' CD? I did post a warning
on here about its known defectiveness, back on June 16.

With the luck of idiots, I managed to upgrade one machine from Badger to
Duck and didn't lose a thing. On a second machine I tried the same
tactic and ended up with a schizo Duck that remained convinced it was a
Badger, and so had to be brain-wiped.

Was your lost setup dual-boot, or Wine?
