Whew! After dropping into most of the possible pitfalls, I managed to
end up with a working 'Dapper' upgrade from 'Hoary'. It certainly was a
reminder to read everything out there before trusting that 'final
distribution' packages will actually work. To anyone who is still
considering the upgrade: DO NOT try to use the 'Desktop' ISO.
