I just put Kubuntu "Dapper Drake" on my Compaq Presario R4025CA notebook.
No other *nix installation worked properly with the video hardware or the
WiFi card (Broadcom). Dapper Drake works well with both. Now if I can just
find a properly-functioning Java implementation for amd64...
