Yes, Asai-sensei will teach you at the RJD Williams Building near campus
2-3 hours a week on an evening for 8 weeks or so for 170$+ tax (IIRC).
Japanese For Busy People 1 is used. Get the kana edition if you want to
really have fun. Japanese 1 usually is taught every fall. Usually
Japanese 2 is cancelled every spring because we can't get the min
enrollment (10 people!). I didn't try this past term due to my main
school commitments.

Compare this with UBC, where I could get a minor in Japanese with my
science degree. Or the U of C, which I could do something similar at.
We don't even offer Madarin or Cantonese here, except in the 1st year
religious studies program. It's weak-sauce :p
