With Firefox, if you're using the Breezy packages, you're still using
1.0.x, which as I recall was more leaky than 1.5.0.x... plus
extensions are notorious for having memory leaks.

LOL!

Dapper *may well* fix this; they're going for stability over
innovation in it, though off the top of my head I don't know about
your specific case. The best way for you to test without messing up
your install is of course to try a Live CD for a while and see if it
behaves better... The latest one is
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/dapper/flight-7/ (though flight 8
might be out in a few days)
