Man, with a 256mb flash, it'd be nice if they posted the disk image of
the key -- I'd love to start reverse engineering the code.

Assuming a stock kernel with not too much secret sauce (since it'd be a
GPL violation if it was shipped linked to a binary-only module!), you
could try and "match" the interface, or use a shim loader (ala how some
Wireless cards work on Linux) to drive the HD-DVD drive, and skip the
sutpid HDCP shit.
