I've noticed stuff like this before among some developers (e.g. why
gnome-screensaver doesn't have an option to change the settings in
screensavers; see

apparently the guy who's in charge of it in Gnome says: "I don't have
any plans to support this. My view is that any screensaver theme that
requires configuration is inherently broken." Amazing 8-) As I
recall, Scott had a story like this about why MythTV doesn't allow you
to just record from a non-channel source.

Well... maybe. Or they will sit there, scratching their heads as to
why KDE people are installing Firefox and think to themselves 'but
why? our browser is clearly better!' ;)
