Wow. That is *finally* some nice gear in the
geophysics dept. I just finished defending my M.Sc.
thesis, although I have been off campus for the last
couple of years, and we had none of that good stuff.
I had to grovel for time on the bioinformatics cluster
for one run of my data. When I had to reprocess I had
to use the well-established PLEASEHELP method of
distributed computing (email friends and say 'hey, can
you run this part of the job for me and email the
results back').

I might just have to try to make that meeting.
