My mouse died sometime yesterday. This was confirmed by trying to run
it in my wife's computer. Her mouse worked on my computer, for a while,
then went sporadic, finally jamming in tyhe upper border and refusing to
move.
Rebooting linux twice didn't work. even when it detected new hardware,
and I hit all the right buttons, the mouse still didn't go.
Moved over to the Windoze side, booted up, mouse worked fine.
This indicated a software problem, so I shut everyting down and
reinstalled linux. It appears that this works.
However, I am informed that any kind of repairs ought to be makeable
from within linux.
If, for instance, the mouse goes down again, what should I do, being
able to use only the keyboard? Or is that too broad a question?
