other than adam's mentioning of uudecode, there is a more
"kitchen sink" util called uudeview, which is really good at
taking a pile of usenet posting or mail attachments, sorting
thru them to see which parts go with which, then sticking
(what it thinks are ;) the right parts together and decoding
the now single part .uue
unpost is similar. both havent been updated in ages, but
theres not a whole lot wrong with either of them anyways.
