Apparently the sound interface changed from 2.0.x to 2.2.x.
The RedHat 6.0 Errata states that certain applications no longer work.
One of these is RealPlayer (that's rvplayer, right?). I suspect x11amp
may be victim of the same problem.

I know this isn't a fix, but GQMpeg is an alternative to x11amp, and its
good. It uses mpg123, and I know the combination works on RH6.
