Nothing better than the cases that come in with 8000#'s of dust
and it stinks like an ashtay. Couple that with a hangover, and you have a
receipe for a bad morning...
Just to add my 2 cents to teh discussion, I think the idea of
using furnace filter material (cut down to the appropriate size) would
work well. When I worked for Siecor Corporation, some of our industrial
computers on our productions floor(read : really, really bloody filthy)
had similiar material installed in front of their intake fans.
Even with fan filters, dust is still a major problem (or at least
that is my experience).
Better just to pull the covers off your machines every couple
months or so and clean (I do this, and I have 4 machines at home). The way
CPU fans wear out these days, it would probably be a good idea.
